Hi shortbut..,

Your son has ADHD. You are cutting out sugar, additives, gluten. This does not make sense to me.
I could see a concerned mother cutting out refined sugars and additives.

If you cut out sugars, additives, and gluten there is precious nothing left to eat. Also, your son will die if he does not get sugars. Sugars (carbohydrates) are essential for meeting the body’s energy needs.

Anyone on the Wheat Free Diet on EDiets? How’s it going?

Question by akr_tx: Anyone on the Wheat Free Diet on EDiets? How’s it going?
My daughter is allergic to gluten…but does not have celiacs. We have been struggling for 2 years to reduce her gluten intake, and I’m wondering if the diet program is good. Too many of them don’t take into account the gluten free population.

I have actually heard of the wheat free diet on ediets. If she is not Celiac and just has an allergy to gluten, the wheat free diet might work for her on ediets however she’d need be darn sure she’s accidentally getting gluten bc if she is allergic to wheat, rye, barley AND oats, that is gonna eliminate a lot of her food choices.
How do u know she’s not Celiac but gluten allergic? (an allergy to all three is actually more rare than Celiac).
FYI: There aer GF Oats online, oats in an of themselves do not actually have gluten in them but are cross contaminated with wheat during planting and harvest and processing so are avoided. GF oats can be found online.
Feel free to email me for more help on the GF lifestyle.

If I don’t have a celiac disease, I don’t need a gluten free diet?

Question by willibully: If I don’t have a celiac disease, I don’t need a gluten free diet?
I want to start 21 days cleanse diet which requires no gluten during this program, but I don’t think I have a celiac disease.
is it safe that doing gluten free diet even though I don’t have a celiac disease? or in order to do cleanse diet, not matter what, I should not eat glueten?
I am not doing this diet to lose weight. I am skinny enough. I just want to be healthier.

Best answer:

Answer by sailor
It is safe to not eat gluten even if you don’t have celiac disease. If you are going to do a cleanse diet then follow it. If you don’t want to follow something in it then don’t but then don’t blame any results on that diet because you didn’t follow it.
